realizing the path
The new version of Path has forced the realization that my “Internet friends” (the ones who would likely be the people that are available to add as friends on a service like Path) are my friend friends. Most of them I see in person every once in a while, some of them I don’t. But they’re the ones I share my life with (some get more details than others, of course), but nevertheless, here we are. Friends.
This is actually a bigger deal to me than it seems on re-reading the above paragraph. Feels like some kind of milestone; it’s not just about adoption curves, but also about social circle winnowing and focusing of time and attention.
That said, my wife and kids are decidedly not on Path. So there’s that.
